About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to join our partner companies where the warehouse exists but nobody agrees what the numbers mean. You'll own the transformation layer: source definitions, staging and mart models, tests, documentation, and the semantic definitions behind the metrics leadership reads every Monday.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain dbt models from source through mart layers
- Write tests and freshness checks that catch bad data before dashboards do
- Define metrics and keep their definitions consistent across tools
- Work with data engineers on ingestion contracts and schema changes
- Partner with analysts and operators to model what they actually ask for
- Document lineage so a number can be traced back to its source
Requirements
- 4+ years in analytics engineering, data analysis, or data engineering
- Advanced SQL, including window functions and incremental patterns
- Production experience with dbt
- Experience with a cloud warehouse such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift
- Python for scripting and light pipeline work
- Excellent written and verbal English (B2+)
Nice to Have
- Experience with Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect
- Experience with BI tools such as Looker, Mode, or Metabase
- Exposure to reverse ETL and activation workflows
- Background in a revenue or finance reporting function
