Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

About the Role

We're seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to join our partner AI companies, where the product only creates value once it's wired into the customer's systems. This is the role US AI startups are hiring for fastest in 2026. You'll sit between engineering and the customer: scope the deployment, build integrations and data pipelines, configure and extend agents, and feed what you learn back into the core product. Strong engineering plus the ability to run a room with a customer's technical team.

What You'll Do

• Lead technical deployments of AI products into customer environments
• Build integrations with customer systems (CRMs, ERPs, data warehouses, APIs)
• Configure, extend, and evaluate LLM agents and workflows per customer
• Run discovery and solution design with customer engineering teams
• Turn repeated custom work into product features
• Own deployment success metrics and customer technical relationships

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering, ideally full-stack with Python or TypeScript
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs, RAG, and agent frameworks
• Strong integration skills: REST, webhooks, auth flows, data mapping
• Comfortable presenting and problem-solving live with customers
• Ability to work US business hours and travel occasionally if needed
• Excellent written and verbal English (C1)

Nice to Have

• Experience at a consultancy, Palantir-style FDE team, or solutions engineering
• Experience with enterprise data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Salesforce)
• Background in a regulated industry (healthcare, finance, legal)
• Experience building evaluation harnesses for LLM output quality
